Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals:

Individuals have many opportunities to have a rewarding experience volunteering here at the City Rescue Mission.  Here are some examples of volunteer opportunities for individuals:

  • Financial Literacy and Life Skills Teachers needed for our Men's Ministry.

  • Women of faith needed at Covenant House to help lead morning devotions (9:15 - 9:45 am), help teach Parenting, Relationship, and Challenges of Adulthood classes, and share skills in cooking, crafts, baking, etc.

  • Helpers needed occasionally in the Administrative Office that would include light office duties such as filing, stamping, envelope stuffing, sorting, or shredding.

  • Strong men of faith to serve 2-3 hour shifts at our Men's Ministry Front Desk or to mentor men.

  • Helpers for After-School Program at Sankey Center:  Tutors, mentors and cooking/craft instructors needed on an ongoing basis.  Mentors/Basketball coaches needed to teens.

  • If you like to take pictures, we need you!  We need someone to take pictures of the daily activities of the Mission.  Opportunities are available for all times and days of the week.

  • Do you have graphics or publishing talent?  Help us make our web site and printed publications shine.

  • Scrapbooker needed once a month to print photos and maintain the Mission History books.

  • If you have a special talent, please let us know!  We likely will have a need for it!
