Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals:

Individuals have many opportunities to have a rewarding experience volunteering here at the City Rescue Mission.  Here are some examples of volunteer opportunities for individuals:

  • Piano Player(s) needed for 8 am weekday and 7 pm evening (Thursday and Sunday) chapel services.
  • Financial Literacy and Life Skills Teachers needed for our Men's Ministry.
  • Front Desk Helpers needed in Men's Ministry.
  • Sports Activity Leaders need to help organize sports activities for our Men's Ministry
  • Helpers for Summer Youth Program at Sankey Center:  Craft leaders; assistants for summer sports leagues for children and youth; garden helpers for a small flower and produce garden; lunch ordering, preparation, serving and cleanup
  • Strong Men/Women of faith needed to mentor and disciple residents of our Covenant House Women and Family Shelter and our True Life Men's Ministry.
  • Flower Garden helpers needed to plant and weed flower beds at Covenant House.
  • If you like to take pictures, we need you!  We need someone to take pictures of the daily activities of the Mission.  Opportunities are available for all times and days of the week.
  • Do you have graphics or publishing talent?  Help us make our web site and printed publications shine.
  • If you have a special talent, please let us know!  We likely will have a need for it!
